Very Nice Course, Sep 01, 2008

This is a gem. Short, mostly level, beautiful fast greens and well maintained. Very fair course,tight fairways. Leave your driver in the bag,it's not a "bombs away" course. Fun, tight, and in great shape! 8/26/08

Bring your big sticks...for this course will eat you up from the blues...a great shot on any course will be so so here at Willy...you have to thread needles to make it through 18 holes without giving in to the course...by far one of the most difficult courses around Vermont that will keep you in your place when you think you figured the game of golf out!!

Although the length of this course may not be it's most challenging aspect it certainly has some challenges to offer. This course has some narrow fairways and punishing roughs that demand accurate shots for a chance at par and plenty of tall trees and woods and will make you want reconcider "going for it" unless you know exactly where you are going to put the ball. Three par threes on the back nine all offer some challenges and there is no shortage of water to sacrifice balls to the course. Beautifly kept and relaxed atmosphere make this a fun course for all golfing abilities.

"HomeTown corse"
The corse is not hard at all but a fun getaway for a sunny afternoon when you have nothin else to do besides play the best sport on earth, and wanna kick back a relax on our nice moderate speed golf carts. Hickory Sticks is an unearthed gem. The condition of the course is near perfect. Because of the location (hidden but only 15 min. from I-275) makes this a logical place to play a quick undisturbed round.

"Greens Can Be Fast Without Being Like Concrete"
Take this course to Scotland where it belongs. Whomever is the greenskeeper here needs a bit of elementary training in the concept of WATER. Greens can be fast without being unreceptive to a golfball. It is rediculous when a topped 4-iron produces a better result than a high, spinning wedge. It is a well-designed course, but you just can't hide the pins behind bunkers when the golfer has no chance of holding the green. It is just plain goofy golf. To watch fairly accomplished players putt from 20 yards off the green is just too bad.

Spring Creek is a classic old valley course, it will be treelined fairways, your gonna have to move the ball off the tee, if you keep it out of the trees you will have a good round.
