This is a great beginner's course with three par 4's and six par 3's. There are water hazards that come into play on several holes, and numerous trees can alter your shots. There is a prevailing wind from Lake Erie that blows across this course, so choosing the proper club is a big part of the game.

Welcome to the Hairy Marsh, Apr 20, 2005 |

| I am a new golfer and even I did not think this was a good course at all. When you get on the greens bring your wading shoes or your sand wedge, parts of the greens are hard dirt path and other sections of the greens will remind you of the mentor marsh. The grass is longer than usual. The tee boxes are hard ground so you are constantly playing "high tee." The distance is off. I suppose this is an alternative to the driving range, but you can only use your drive about 3 times, a good short game will dominate this course. $10 for nine holes walking and trust me a cart on this course is a joke. |

Bad Golf Course, Jun 05, 2004 |

| This is not a good golf course if you plan to really increase the performance of your game. The majority of the time you will be over hitting the ball because the holes are fit for jr. golfers and its not well kept. It's very pricey for what the course offers. The greens are just as rough as the rough is, they have huge divits, and not well cut. the sand traps sometimes don't even have sand in them and if they do they are as hard as cement. Also in tee boxes you can't even put your tee in its so hard also the yards they tell you is incorrect. |
