This course has water hazards that come into play on many holes. The greens are fast and difficult to read. The fairways are narrow and provide quite a challenge if you don't hit a straight ball. Both tees have a set of alternate greens for beginning and intermediate players.

HARBOR GOLF, GREAT PRACTICE COURSE, Feb 23, 2006
reviewer: RAY SAFFELL from CARSON, CA.
IF NO TIME FOR 18 HOLES, OR A GOOD PRACTICE ROUND IS ALL YOUR AFTER, THE HARBOR NINE HOLER IS PERFECT. SECOND HOLE IS A VERY CHALLENGING PAR 4. INTO THE WIND IN THE AFTERNOON. SIXTH HOLE, PAR 3 HAS TO BE ONE OF THE BEST FOR 50 MILES. UPHILL, NO BAIL TO THE LEFT AND SOMETIMES BLIND TEE SHOT. WELL MAINTAINED WITH GREAT PRACTICE PUTTING GREENS TO WARM UP. KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR REGGIE THE ALIGATOR NEARBY. USUALLY A 3 HOUR ROUND.

Not a beginners Course, Aug 18, 2005
reviewer: Fred Brinkley from Los Angeles, Ca
Most people mistake the course for a beginner course but it's not. The fairways are long and narrow with plenty of trees that will challange you if your shots stray that way. The first & ninth tees are straight but all the others demand that you chose your shot carefully. Even the par 3 6th require that you spy your shot from the back of the green at the 5th because it green is up hill and partially shielded. If you can hit it long and on target you'll enjoy your day but if not this great little 9 hole will task you.

Harbor great, Jun 13, 2004
reviewer: John from Southern California
A real challenge for begining to intermidiate players. Long 9 hole with 2 par 5's and a long par 3 and par 4's. Service at entry kind of weak.
