This course is fairly wide open, but there are some trees that can alter your shots. The elevated greens are slightly sloped and fairly well bunkered. The course has very few fairway bunkers, usually located approximately 100 to 120 yards out from the green. The signature hole is #18, a 430-yard, par 4, requiring uphill shots that usually play into the wind.

| If you want to grab the clubs and go without any foreplanning this is the place in town to hit. The fairways are fairways....not farmland - they are the real thing. I disagree with the above discription. I think the signature hole is actually number 4 - it's a 178 yard par 3 your shooting not just into an elevated green but one that is actually on a small hill. This is great for a city run course...and good place to practice your game before going out with the friends |

| This course, developed in 1926, is as good a public golf course as the average to better than average golfer is likely to find anywhere. Designed by Donald Ross, owned and operated by the City of Wilmington and well maintained. Never too crowded. Reasonable green fees. |
