Quail Ridge Golf Course3805 Quail Ridge Dr Winfield, KS 67156 Phone: (316)221-5645Fax: (316)221-5588
This links-style course has well-maintained greens, fairways and tees. There are water hazards that come into play on ten holes. The course's signature hole is #16, a 185-yard, par 3, which plays through an uphill, tree-lined chute to a two-tiered green that is well-bunkered.

| This course is off the beaten path for people from the Wichita area, located about a 45-60 minutes drive southeast. However, it is well worth the drive as this course is easily one of the top public courses I have played.
It will challenge you with it's deep roughs, shifty greens, and water hazards. If you play this course on a very windy day, which is quite common in Kansas, you will face some very difficult and long holes on #11 & #12.
Also, you are likely to see some wildlife during your round. I saw a large turtle cross a green I was on and saw several quail (hence the name).
I highly recommend playing this course. |

Great Learning Course, Feb 04, 2004

| A very fair, playable course. Gives the novice an opportunity to try their skills without extreme risk. It also will challenge the low handicap golfer with it's terrain and hazard placement. The par 5's are scattered on the course so as to challenge you at the most critical times. Holes 8 through 12 will leave you feeling as though you've run a marathon only to have very delicate par 3's ahead. |
