This facility has an eighteen hole regulation course, plus a nine hole executive course. The Regulation Eighteen Course has tree-lined fairways that are generous and forgiving and its greens are large and fast. The signature hole is #18, a 330-yard, par 4, requiring an approach shot to an island green. The Executive Course has wide-open fairways and greens that are small and fast. There is a creek that comes into play on both courses, and the terrain ranges between rolling to hilly.

This course is a beautiful specimen of Southeastern Minnesota Bluff Country. Great care was taken in the design to utilize the natural surroundings. Trout streams run through the entire course. One of my favorite courses.

"Lucky Man"
This is a majestic golf course. The layout appears nestled in the pines and marshes with little man-made interference. It is a tough test from the tips, yet fair. There are no gimmicky holes as the course is right before you. You just have to execute the shot.

Hillcrest Country Club
"Miniature Southern Hills"
Hillcrest is an old (built 1926), established, traditional golf course. Originally designed by Perry Maxwell (Southern Hills, Prairie Dunes, Colonial), it was updated in 1980 by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. The course features tree-lined fairways, lots of doglegs, and difficult small greens. It has hosted numerous USGA Qualifiers, an NCAA regional, numerous OGA state amateur events. While short in length, it plays longer because of the doglegs and elevation changes. Course record is 65 and is held by Justin Leonard and several others. This is an excellent golf course that you will want to play again.

Durand Eastman Golf Course
"Good golf for a low price"
This course is an excellent example of Robert Trent Jones' genius. The course is not long, by modern standards, but many holes have elevation changes which make even the shortest of holes interesting and challenging. It winds through a beautiful, heavily wooded section if Durand - Eastman Park and in and out of two hugh revines which makes even your poorest round a joy. Some of the greens feature Jones' unique mounding that makes you think an elephant or two was buried there. The green speeds are not consistent for hole to hole, which makes for some interesting decisions on the pace of your putt, but considering the amount of play the course receives they are usually in pretty good shape for a public course. There are few long holes on the course, but the ones that are long are really difficult to to par. The only complaints I have about the course are; the speed of play (there are many not very accomplished golfers that tend to slow things down) and when the weather is wet the holes in the lower parts of the course stay pretty wet because there seems to be a problem with drainage. All things considered, this course is one of the best values for my golfing dollar that I have ever encountered.
