This club overlooks Cadillac Mountain and the rocky cliffs of Iron Bound Island. Some say it is the only course in America with an ocean view form every hole. The design includes narrow fairways, making this quaint course nearly as challenging as it is scenic. It was originally founded in 1891 and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. In addition, it was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America." The fully-equipped clubhouse, which was completed in 1998, enhances a charm unique to Coastal Maine. Alex Findlay redesigned the original holes in the early 1900's, and Charles Clarke later remodeled some holes. Gas carts are only available for members.
