This is a fairly narrow course with tree-lined fairways, a thick cut of rough and many lateral hazards. Water hazards come into play on seven holes. The terrain is typical for this area, flat, with some mounding that can affect your lie. The average-sized greens are slightly sloped and medium speed.

| I played there last week for the first time in many years. It was beautiful. The greens were a little slow. But they had 3.5 inches of rain in the 2 days before I played. The fairways were always a sweet lie with a few casual waters. The rough is thick and my ball did sink in a couple of times. I noticed a lighted range and huge shortgame practice area with some players chipping and putting. The clubhouse was big and clean along with the proshop. The staff was very freindly and outgoing. This course is very challenging with some excellent golf holes. I recommend playing here to all locals and tourist only if you are a golfer. |

| This course is challenging because your lie had better be in the fairway or you'll most likely be looking for it in some form of casual water or very thick rough. The fairways were either overly-tight, negelected, outright wet, or all three. The greens are a muddy, slow-medium to slow speed with only a fair amount of undulation. The par 3 greens are almost all too large and too flat to be much fun. I've played WPGC twice and didn't really enjoy the experience because of all the standing water in the rough and on the fairways. I'm rating the course at 2 stars only because they have reliable and frequent refreshment cart service. |
