This course has large and somewhat undulating greens with many subtle breaks. The design follows the natural flow of the land. Water comes into play on nine holes, and sand bunkers are located throughout the course. Wildlife, such as deer and elk, may be seen on the course. "Golf Digest" selected this course 5th among the "Top 10 Best New Private Courses" for 1996, and they also rated it as the 4th "Best in State" course for 1997-98. In order to play this exclusively private course, guests must be accompanied by a member.

"Good course to teach your kids"
This is a good course to teach tour kids how to golf, because it is a moderately short course. I took my 8 year old son golfing there, and he shot a 58! Not too bad for his first time out, and he had a blast!We have been back twice and can't wait for sping to go again.

For the money one of the best 9 hole courses in western kansas, green speeds and roll out are up there with the big boys if not better. Fairways and teeing surfaces are always in better than average condition even in the hot months. Keep it in the fairway!

"A Real Golf Course, Open All Year."
DVGC is a real test of golf. All the holes are fair and require you to hit shots. 7-9 and 16-18 are some of the toughest closing holes around this area. There are plenty of birdie opportunities if you are on your game, there are also plenty of water hazards if you are off your game. It has been known to blow a little in the afternoon, so play as early in the day as possible. Dayton Valley is a fantastic course with a terrific staff.
