This private course was built on hilly terrain. There are water hazards that come into play on many holes, and numerous trees line the fairways. Your round begins with a 570-yard, par 5, which has a river bisecting the slight dogleg left fairway. Another interesting hole on the front nine is #5, a 400-yard, par 4, which has two small ponds sitting in the fairway that must be avoided off the tee. The approach shot is to a green protected by three sand bunkers in front. There is a lot less water on the back nine, but a stream does cut through holes #12, 13 and 14.

| Oak Lane Country Club has a terrific golf course but beware the greens tend to be fast. OLCC by far has the best Pro Shop in CT. The Pro Shop employees are knowledgeable, attentive and the shop is impeccably organized. I was truly impressed by my OLCC experience. |

| This is an extremely well kept course. The course requires a wide variety of shots. If you are not on top of your game from the blue tees you will be in for a long day. The greens are very fast and hard to read. When you move up to the white or gold tees the course becomes very playable for the higher handicap player. |
