This course has narrow, tree-lined fairways. The greens are well manicured, and water hazards (a newly added lake and two ponds) come into play on several holes. Junior and senior discount rates are available throughout the entire season. Please contact the pro shop for green fees and times of discount availability. The Friday green fee rate is slightly higher than the weekday rate.

Great course set away from civilization, or so it feels. If your going to golf 9 do the back 9. Be careful though, lots of trees and it's trouble if you don't hit the fairway.

This is a very nice course and plays well in the summer and winter. Very scenic and during the spring and summer, it can't be beat. I recommend this course to any level player.

Kis-N-Greens Golf Course
"Update"
The course has been expanded to 18 holes, par 72. The fairways are improved over the condition that they were in a year ago. Some greens have been expanded, with more to follow. 400 trees have been added to the course as of 2003. The trees are small but will help distinguish fairways from rough. Water comes into play on 6 holes. No sand, and the tee boxes need work (leveling) maybe some irragation on the fairways (more ponds needed). Overall, satisfied with course, wind makes it more difficult than it looks, and greens are deceiving.

A course perhaps more friendly for the long-ball hitter with more than enough water and some deviously placed sand. Access to the course requires a military affiliation or a friend who can host your play but, well worth the trip. Given its location (on base), play is seldom hampered by a crowded course which also makes it a most hospitable course for the slower player, the short ball hitter or those just learning the game. The placement of water (ponds and streams) makes for an interesting attack plan and invites disaster for the reckless. Improved traps, general landscaping and more attention to tee boxes and greens over the past two seasons has made the course much more enjoyable. The first six holes are a low rolling layout with a lot of trees in play along the fairways. The rest of the course is basically flat with several holes playing parallel to the runway and an occasional aircraft take-off or landing adding to the view. Course amenities are well maintained. Walk, pull a cart or ride in a relatively new electric cart. The golf carts are in great shape and an adjacent driving range is a plus for tuning up before hitting off of the first tee. The clubhouse has a small grill for lunch with a comfortable seating area for a beer after the game. The pro shop is equipped to handle most needs.

Foxwood Country Club

I found Foxwood to be a course that could use some improvements. However, I did enjoy playing this course and the layout. The employees were true pros. The course is shaded with many trees which allows you to hone your placement skills. This course surely is a diamond in the rough.
