Situated along Crowley Ridge, which extends from Missouri to Louisiana, this nine hole course boasts views of rolling hills and an abundance of native wildlife. The natural terrain lends itself to the narrow, contoured fairways, and accuracy is very important as many balls have been lost in the deep rough. The firm, fast greens are heavily undulated and provide for some challenging reads. One of the most stunning holes is #3, a 105-yard, par 3, featuring an elevated tee with a 100-foot drop to the green. This course is much more difficult to play than the yardage would indicate, with water coming into play on several holes. Crowley's Ridge was ranked as the "Best 9-hole Course in the State," by "Arkansas Golf" in 1997. There is no golf shop on the premises.

This course has the most challenging greens you will ever face. It is like putting on half grass half sand with holes in the middle. The fairways are like your average 2nd cut rough and the masquitos will eat you alive. Kids run freely about getting in golfers way. If you like smooth shots and great golf in Wynne Arkansas wait 4 years for the one at Village Creek.

Knob Hill Golf Course
"One of the better ones around"
Nicely maintained, well conditioned course. A little short from the whites, and perhaps a little long from the championship tees for the average golfer. Water comes into play on many holes, as does out of bounds. Greens are medium sized and fairly flat, but several have devilish breaks. Holes seven and eight can make or break your round, and when playing into the wind, the eighteenth is as tough a finishing hole as there is in the area. There has been talk about going private for several years, but it appears as if it will happen sometime in 2004, so if you have the opportunity to play, do it soon!!

Springfield Golf Club

One would hardly expect to find a gem like the Springfield Golf Club in this rural setting in an agricultural state such as South Dakota. This course demands your best game with keeping the ball in the fairway a premium. Although not a long course, the long hitter does not have a major advantage. Tree-lined fairways are expertly maintained and the greens are challenging. All of this quality golf is accompanied by some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. The course is built on bluffs overlooking Lewis and Clark Lake and the view from every tee is extraordinary. This wonderful nine hole golf course has earned the right to be called Dakota's Pebble Beach.
