This scenic course provides a spectacular view of Mount Rainier. The fairways are wide open, and the greens are small, sloped and mostly fast. There is water that comes into play on two holes, and sand bunkers come into play on four holes. The terrain is flat and easy to walk.

Bang for the buck, Aug 31, 2008
reviewer: Steven from Lacey, WA
This course has come a long way since I first played it in the 70's. I was impressed with the speed of the greens and quality of the fairways. For the money how can you complain. I will say that the Pro shop staff need a little training in the customer service area. When making a tee time the genttleman that I spoke with acted as if I he could care less if I played there or not. Remember...... that without my buisness you wouln't have a buisness!

Brookdale is cheap, Apr 15, 2005
reviewer: Rapid Roy from Yelm, Washington
I used to work and play on this course. It's well maintained even so the owners Kris and Doug Jones of Brookdale, Inc. which are also owners of Brookdale Golf Course in Spanaway Washington, anyhow they're very cheap. They would rather take their weekly trips to Vegas and Mexico over buying better equipment to take care of their turf. The course has good drainage because it is rather rocky, covered with a good layer soil. Tees are usually hammered, areas in greens usually get muddy and badly damaged during the winter and dries out for about 2 weeks for the summer or until overwatered. Irrigation seldom works, so manual wattering is usually done after the greens turn brown. Pins are changed about twice a week, and due to overplay, always torn up. Fairways are mowed with a pull-gang! I mean COME ON. Buy these guys a fairway mower! And come on, hire some better waitresses. The one with only half an index finger, my God.

A good winter course, Feb 16, 2004
reviewer: George Egge from Tumwater WA USA
This is a good course for golfers who can have fun without elaborate amenities. Practice facilites are minimal as is the proshop. The main assets are: golf value per dollar (great senior rates), minimal paved golf car paths so a ball is seldom scuffed and ricocheted to bad places, playability through the winter as the drainage is good because only minimal grading was done during construction. Walking is easy as there are only three areas that rise 20 or thirty feet. There are some nice oak tree framed views of Mt. Rainier. On approximately 90 acres this is, consequently, a very compact course with fairways side by side, so be alert to the call of "fore" and protect yourself. You should not hesitate to yell when you strike one out of your fairway.
