SLOW PLAY, May 07, 2009

I have played golf all over the county, I decided to play this during a recent trip. We were told this course was wide open for play. It took us close to 3 hours to play 7 holes. Course is in bad bad shape We reported this to the manager at the pro-shop and he basically told me tough luck. We walked off after 7 holes BE WARNED SLOW PLAY.. and way over priced

Narrow Fareways, Very Hilly and Patchy Greens. The Play is slow, and God Forbid if you have anyone in front of you who's walking the course. If you play in the late afternoon, you better have a good supply of "OFF", because the Mosquitoes rule after 5.

"A Classic golf Course"
Bass Rocks in my opinion is an ideal kind of golf course. Every time you play is different. The winds off the ocean can be a help at times. However, other times it can play havoc with your game. The course forces you to play almost every kind of shot there is. From high flops to knock downs, it will test your game. The staff is second to none. Friendly and always willing to offer a tip or two that will help make your round more enjoyable. The members make you feel right at home. Like they have known you for years, even if you just met. In my personal opinion, every town should have a club like Bass Rocks.

"Nice course, nice people"
This is a nice course, tree lined but no water. Pace of play is good, 4 hours is usual. Great driving range, two putting greens. The staff is friendly and accomodating.

"Great Golf Course"
A golf course that Mike Barton did wonders with. It is fairly straight and short, but the greens are fantastic. Set in a beautiful location and has plenty of trees, hit it straight though because if you get into the rough you get into trouble because of the trees.
