This is a short, tricky course requiring several uphill and downhill shots. The fairways are narrow, and the medium-sized greens are undulating. There is a lake that comes into play on seven holes, including #4, a 138-yard, par 3, which requires golfers to carry the edge of the lake off the tee. The terrain is hilly and can be strenuous to walk.

no yardage markers anywhere, May 01, 2010

public golf always had maintance issues but not putting yardages on springler or at least have 200 and 100 yard markers clerly visible is just lazy - it seem the superindent does not play golf. the condtion of the coarse is as bad as i have ever seen

The course is nicely set next to the lake, which gives some holes an almost "vacation" feeling. It is very close to New York City with the trip taking about 45minutes each way and traffic back generally very manageable.
