Eagle Crest Golf Club

This scenic course, built near Ford Lake, affords many dramatic views of the surrounding countryside. In addition, water hazards come into play on several holes. The signature hole is #16, a 520-yard, par 5, requiring a shot over a lake. Overall, the terrain is hilly, and the speed of the greens varies from medium to fast, depending on the seasonal weather conditions. This course was previously called Huron Golf Club, but changed its name to Eagle Crest Golf Club. The course is owned by Eastern Michigan University, whose team nickname was changed from the Hurons to the Eagles to be politically correct.

Eagle Crest Well Worth the Time, Jun 20, 2006 |

| I am a beginning golfer just this season. I am 20 but haven't touched a club since I was 12 at the driving range with dad. EMU offers a golf class, which I took with the range pro. The teaching was great, the course is amazing. It is difficult, but still fun. The grass is gorgeous (honest the greens are nicer than what I saw on the Tour this past week), the water and forestry makes for great scenery and the food is great! EMU students should remember that the discount for them is generous as well. |

| This course is extremely nice and put together well. If your looking for a good time and a challenge, then this is the course for you. It is a beautiful course and people in the area should check it out. It even has a grille inside. A marriot is attached to it as well. |

| I played Eagle Crest on September 25, I have been golfing for only two years so it was incredibly difficult. However the course is in wonderful condition and gave students at EMU like myself a great discount. Loved the experience but it is very difficult, I thought anyway. |
