Layout nice, conditions not, Jul 16, 2004

This would be a fantastic golf course if the ownership had any clue about maintaining it. The layout is very challenging. It has some long Par 4 and 5 holes on front. Greens are firm but terribly inconsistent. Bunkers need fixing. Trees need some trimming. The fairways need to be plugged, raked, fertilized, and watered.

"A true hidden jewel"
If you ever get a chance to play this course then do it. It's longer than you think it is and it is a very tough course. The course is kept in excellent shape and the weekday cost to play is very reasonable. The membership cost is also very reasonable for someone who is looking for a moderately priced country club.

"Sunset is an awesome course!"
Sunset Hill is an awesome course. I play on a high school golf team, and its our practice course. But after season is over, we have to start paying to play golf again. The one thing that Sunset is good for is that it's cheap and reliable. I as a high school athelete, don't feel like paying 50 dollars to go play some course with a tee time that is just horrible. Sunset on the other hand has a low price thats friendly to the everyday golfer. So it might not be in the best shape, but its fun to play because there is no rush and its cheap to play. All in all, its an awesome course!
