This golf course is located on the premises of an RV park. Play is open to the public and there are no golf memberships. Resort personnel rate this to be the toughest nine hole course in the area. To the employees' knowledge, par for the course has only been met four times since its opening in 1994. The fairways are all lined with trees and are primarily flat. The greens are average-sized, fairly flat and not too fast. The toughest hole is #9, a 551-yard, par 5, which features a sharp dogleg in the fairway about 220 yards from the tee. A view of the local mountains can be enjoyed as well as wildlife, such as quail and rabbits.

Don't waste your time, Feb 06, 2008

There are lots of nicer courses out there for the same amount of money. The course was in very poor shape, the washrooms were dirty and dark, and the tee boxes and fringes were too long and mangy.

Quarry Hills Country Club

Ellis Maples used time-tested design methods on Quarry Hills golf course. Not alot of earth was moved when placing the holes, and the result is a warm, natural feel when walking this course. In fact, it was made to walk. Despite its short length, it is a strong test of golfing skill to score well here. A true Hidden Gem in North Carolina.

Valencia Country Club
"Valencia CC -- one of the finest in the U.S."
Valencia CC is a gorgeous layout and wonderful design that only gets better with maturity. This Robert Trent Jones course is a truly great test of golf. Demanding par fives and threes along with several of the finest par fours I've ever played make for a challenging and wonderful round. The 66,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with wonderful restaurant, grill room, snack bar, and great pro shop make this one of the most beautiful settings there is to play a round of golf. The practice facilities are absolutely great. This is one of the top 100 golf courses in the United States.

Dykeman Park Golf Course
"Tom Clem"
I have played this course for 5 years and I find it to be one of the nicest courses that I have played to date. It is challenging without being too difficult. Some of the holes require accuracy but, for the most part, it is a very playable and forgiving golf course.
