This is a somewhat open course, but the holes are tree lined and there is a defined cut of rough bordering all the fairways. The overall terrain is basically flat, but there are some mounds that can affect your shots. The large greens vary in undulation and their speeds are determined by the seasonal weather conditions.

| I cannot agree more with Phillip S, I played this course 3 times while on vacation in 2011. I played 3 times to see if the same thing would happen each time. Yes it did, the biggest problem I had was with the pace of play, etiquette and the attitudes of the older guys playing. The 3rd time I played I was behind a group of 4. The group played at a good pace but they became frustrated on the 8th when they caught up with a group that just slowed everyone down. The group of 4 stopped playing and left on the 12th said they would not play here again. I like the course and the staff, very cordial and helpful staff. The course was in good shape. |

Cranky Old Coots, Jun 26, 2009 |

| The course and turf conditions are exceptional for a semi-private facility. It is a bit short but that's not the reason for 3 stars instead of 4. It's the angry old men that proliferate this course that pose the problem. I played on a weekday and several groups of these old coots have a real problem with anyone under 55 invading their course. We played fast, pars and bogeys but the 4 day a week old timers never finish out there puts from 5 to 10 feet and then tee off on to the fairway you'll be playing. We actually had one of them take his third shot on to the green we were playing. Our request to "chill" was met with "you've got to move boy!". Only to hear the same old man claim his round of "77". Ya, minus any putting at all. Regular patrons can hurt a course and despite great turf conditions this place has a serious problem with Geritol Thugs who play too much golf to care about etiquette in the game anymore. |

| I'm a casual one or two rounds a year golfer, and have yet to break 100. I came close last time I played this course. It kept me interested without punishing me for not being a low-handicap PGA wannabe. It is open, pretty forgiving, and not too much water to swallow errant shots. There are some bunkers but not deep enough to keep you from pitching up onto the greens. It is well-maintained, not too crowded, and affordable. |

| i found the course to be average. wide fairways made play off of the tee simple. but smaller tucked greens added some difficulty. but overall the course was just slightly below average |

Best Kept Secret In Wake County, Apr 12, 2004 |

| Yes it looks short but good shotmaking and course management is required. Four of the par 4's are reachable from the tee box but you will pay dearly for an errant attempt. Some have said there is not enough challenge here but this course has some real character and is a fun track. It is always in good condition and is also a real bargain. |
