This predominantly flat course does have a few hills that can cause uneven lies. Water hazards come into play on some holes. Even though the fairways are tree lined, they still afford generous landing areas. The signature hole is #5, a 355-yard, par 4, because it requires a tee shot around a large Cotton tree in the middle of the fairway, then an approach shot over water to a double-tiered green. There is an additional men's tee that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round. Tee times are only reserved for weekends.

Great for a 9-hole golf fix, Feb 20, 2004 |

| I find ZGC to be a great, local course to get away to for a <2 hour golf fix for nine holes. One has the opportunity to pull out the driver for tee shots on at least four of the holes. Because of the unique layout of holes 1, 5, 7 and 8 you are required to consider length and placement when considering club selection off the tee. Course maintenance has improved over the last couple years, and the greens are in good shape. I enjoy playing there 2-3 times/month from March to November. |
