Hilltop Country Club -- *Neatest course in Texas*
Review by: N/A	I went and played a round of golf at the Hilltop Country Club last week for the first time. It was an expereince,the course is set up real cool. I was a high school golfer who would have loved to get out of school and walk to go play golf rather than riding 30 minutes on a bus to and from practice everyday. The course is on the grounds of Troup ISD.And after I got finished playing golf I walked to the 19th and had a cold budlight.The bar has what ever you want,and the ladies were so nice.

Review by: John	A very different challenging layout. A need for power, finesse and a little luck will be needed on this course. Fairways in good shape. Greens are in good shape but could be faster. A decent value for your money.

"Quick eighteen"
This course is short, but what it may lack in length it makes up with difficulty along the course. Fast greens and sloping fairways provide players with challenges every time out. Throw in some wind and you are playing some real good golf if you can break eighty from the back tees on this Par 69 course. Fun course with good people in the Pro Shop make this course a great place to play.

I play this course regularly. Its better than most city courses. Its fair but you better bring your "A" game or it will bite you.

River Forest Country Club
"what about the greens"
What makes river forest a difficult course is their greens.They can put the pin placements where it is possible to three and four putt greens even if you play it everyday.Slopping greens make every putt a challenge. They also have added a water hazard to #3 making it impossible to reach in 2.With the addition of new tee boxes and several holes with where you can knock it OB good luck for all you 10 handicappers to try and break 90 on you first couple rounds.
